TTD Lives: After 6 days and a Lot of Godaddy Phone Calls (THANK YOU!)
May 23rd, 2008My instinct is to say that i should have done this a long time ago — but its simply not true. I wouldnt have the grasp of CSS, PHP, XHTML, or manually installing Wordpress from scratch with each new release if it weren’t for my ime spnt with the folks at site5 — but there comes a time as Ving Rhames said in MI3 “[Theres a point at which sic] bold becomes stupid” and thus I turned to GoDaddy and now here we are. The bottom line is that the phone support alon and the fact that I can talk to someone — that they are obligated to help me fix my problem no matter what it takes that makes it all worth it. Don’t get me wrong - my experience with site5 was great up to a point, but my satisfaction with their performance dictated as Robin Williams said exactly: “Then I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do” and this is it.
For the record I want everybody to know that TTD is important to me - so much so that I’ve etched it into the development cycle of my creative assets indefinitely. Even if nothing else is developed in the future — TTD will always have new content every week. I’d like to say that there will be daily updates but that could easily be stretching the boundaries of both my health and stamina beyond their limits — but make no mistake… I deliberately bought hosting with Godaddy with the intention of breathing new life into this site and making it a regular part of my life for a variety of reasons:
- I love political commentary and love writing it; I also take great pride in the time that i spend gathering the reference material that make up all my posts. THAT aspect of this site has been inoculated with a massive dose of present and future precision and reliability alike.
- I want TTD to serve a definitive purpose: reaching out to the younger generation(s) and doing what I can to inspire them to awareness and far more importantly illustrate and inspire people to Vote. Without votes, Democracy is…. what exactly?
- I’ve entered stage 3 of Cerebral Palsy and if I intend to keep my typing hand typing I’ve got to write, and if I have to write every day or whenever possible… this is mybest outlet because it harbors a large volume of passion on my part - it took me 20 years to figure out how to type with a QWERTY lyout keyboard and four fingers - I’m not giving that up without a fight!
Thats it for the moment… I’m gravitating toward thoughts of breakfast…. waffles… Stay tuned - more to come!
